Disk space problem which made me uninstall beta. A 400 GB nstmp-2 file keeps coming back
2 simple things first:1. it would be fabulous if you made it so i can add an undo button to tool bar and 2 i likes when the tags turned the subject changed color makes it easier to see.
harder part. left my computer on with thunderbird ready and got home and i was getting crazy warnings of full hhd space. I have a 2 TB m.2 and wasn't filled at all.......i found a nstsm-2 file that was 400 GB....i deleted it and keeps coming back.....i didn't make any changes and thunderbird beta was working perfectly

The space problem only happens with beta?
Yes.... i been using the beta as my daily driver for a while now and love it......you guys changed everything about the stable that i would have changed....and for the most part tb just works(unlike MS Outlook). i had the stable and beta installed. I opened firefox and TB the other day and went to dinner. When i got back i had a bunch of warnings that my hdd was maxed and google drive was maxed(i have it for my documents library). i went on google drive website and my usage was 21 GB out of 200 GB.......i used windirstat to find the one file that was growing and it was the TB nstmp-2 file growing to 500 GB and i deleted it.......it came back.
I uninstalled beta and used stable for a day then reinstalled beta and so far so good.....just thought you should be aware of the issue and if you have any more problems
pop account? or imap?

I hope you don't mind - I have morphed your report to "the harder part".
For the suggestions, please post at https://connect.mozilla.org/ where they can be voted. You might even find they have already been posted there.
imap is what i'm using
The file name probably contained nstmp. Does that sound right?
yes that does sound right. the problem with the file size exploding seems to have stopped but another issue has come up. Beta stops interpreting the html email and prints it as a text file or it changed it to a jpeg and all you saw was hex code like if you opened a jpeg with a hex editor?????
i can't get it to revert back to an html format except to delete the account and re add it......it is a gmail account and my other gmail account and live(outlook)account are fine
