Firefox suggest can't be disabled on android

I would like to disable Firefox suggest on Android. I have all the options set to off under the Search tab in settings. I also checked the secret settings which show Suggest as disables. However I am still getting at least one suggestion. How do I turn this off completely- no suggestions. Thanks
