Hi All,

I have been experiencing problems with search suggestions in the search bar for over a year now, with delays or none showing up.

Since it did not occur only on my Fire Tablet, which was left old due to manual update, I investigated from which version it occurred and found that it occurred from v97.0.0-beta.3 and did not occur until v97.0.0-beta.2.

This version seems to have some changes related to the search bar. https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/focus-android/compare/v97.0.0-beta.2..v97.0.0-beta.3

The conditions known so far are

  • It only occurs in a specific fixed-line WIFI environment.
  • The problem occurs on an IPv6/MAP-E line using IPoE.
  • Changing DNS providers produces the same result.
  • Even in the above environment, the problem does not occur when a proxy server is used.

Please help.

Have you tried testing this on the latest version of Firefox Focus for Android, version 121?
