Birthday reminders from Contacts

Hi,

I have several individuals stored in my Contacts for whom I've loaded their birthdates. I would like to receive reminders and/notifications in Thunderbird when these birthdates are approaching, say like 10 days out. Is there a way to configure Contacts and/or Calendar to get these reminders/notifications in advance of these birthdates? If so, how?

Thanks. That particular add-on is dead, but I found a similar one that is active. The one I found does pull in birthdates from my Contacts, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to provide reminders/notifications. I'm going to play with it to see if I can get it to do what I need it to do.
