Hi, I did put a sender of a daily newsletter in the address book. I did use "Mark as Not Junk" with every newsletter of that sender in the last couple of months. . But Thunderbird always and every day lists the newsletter as Junk. (the sender is Smithsonian Magazine) So training the Junk filter does not work. How to change this failure of Thunderbird? Thanks for your attention and answer.

Hello there

You could use more filters? Try using a single filter in Thunderbird across your entire computer machine?

Try to use one filter. If that it s posibble.

One filter can defect the other filter Mostly the first one works.(in the list). The second one cannot. It depends what function the filter has. Can you Clean the list to one working filter of Thunderbird?

Hi thanks for your answer. I did change the spam filter with my email provider and whitelisted the sender.

Hello there

(The map junkmail is still there?)

Have you checked the profile folder for a subfolder where these filters store the msgFilterRules.dat file?

Is this still there?

Hello there

If the files are still there. Oké.

Try to startup in trouble shoot mode.

Does the problem go away?

usually the problems come when too many filters are installed for Thunderbird.
