Set up Mozilla as default mail client to use on web sites that say "click here to leave message"

When I am on a web site most of the time there is a link used to send an email to their company. How do I configure Thunderbird to be the default email client to write and send my message? Right now Windows Live Mail is the default

There is a mailto: protocol that is used and windows has to have it set all special like. The default mail client is not good enough. There are however also settings in the browser that need to be set up for links on web sites. The mailto setup for windows is only for mailto links from desktop apps.
