I import my local folders from my NAS unit, My Documents/mail.

The folder headings are all there, but there is no content when I click on the headings?

This does not happen in the windows 10 version?

Yes. Thunderbird stores many paths internally and absolutely which means there are problems converting between Linux and Windows as paths a described differently.

The best I can suggest to keep deleting the foldertree.json file and forces a rebuild of the folders pane on startup. It will delay load at the entire path to all o the folders will have to be traversed on startup, but it should fix the immediate issue.

BTW if you have an antivirus on Windows that can scan the my documents folder access requests, you will probably see data corruption over time unless you isolate the Thunderbird data and exempt the files from on access scanning.
