Customise home page
I customise Firefox's home page by dragging various sections to where I want them, but I can find no way to lock them there. The next time I open Firefox I find the original unorganised homepage, with the invitation to customise evident at the top. How do I lock my arrangement?

Changes made manually on the Firefox Home page are stored in prefs that you can find on the about:config page.
- browser.newtabpage.pinned => websites pinned to a tile
- browser.newtabpage.blocked => websites removed by clicking Dismiss in a tile
- https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/about-config-editor-firefox
Tiles that you haven't pinned are filled from recent history (disk cache).
Thanks Cor-el, I think that I need discrete instructions as to how to lock my home page after I have dragged items around on the home screen. I still cannot find a button to do this. Thanks, Ray
It sounds like some third-party software is resetting your Firefox settings. Try scanning your system for malware with something like Malwarebytes.
Does it still happen in a new profile? An easy way to test a new profile is to install Developer Edition and see if it happens there or refresh your existing profile.
