One of our macbooks isn'y syncing (bookkmarks)
Unable to sync (update bookmarks made on another macbook air 11.7.7 Big Sur/current firefox), despite: clearing cache/cookies turning off macbook air (others are macbook pro) ran troubleshooting-it read 'false' for bookmarks but could not make 'true'! tried repeated sync 'now'..display took a while after trouble/refresh modes, then solid blue...still no updated bookmarks-WEIRDEST is the sync settings after pressing sync now will show the bookmarks check box immed. if I re-select it..but after going out and then back into sync setting prefs, the bookmarks check box is again unchecked (NOTE-I can't tell if that is default since I just ran a sync now, but it would be strange that it keeps removing it as a pref). The other macs are updating to each other fine..and are SAME identity (tho one macbook pro of 2 is old=2010, and is using 10.7.7.
These are older machines. The only thing that I note differing in the macbook air I'm having trouble with, is it was bought/wiped from a used computer company, so sometimes readss "Soonersoft's Mac" even though I have all correct admin settings! I've no idea how to remove that other owner name (shows up when I do a system restore from disc, for example). I don't want to ramess with that b/c it presents no issues anywhere I'm aware of.....
Frustrating, esp. b/c other two macbook pros sync bookmarks fine! HOW DO I CHANGE SYSTEM DETAIL TROUBLESHOOT REPORT WHERE IT SAYS 'BOOKMARKS=FALSE?" TO TRUE??!?

If you use Sync, best is to disconnect Sync temporarily during troubleshooting.
This could be a problem with the places.sqlite and favicons.sqlite files in the Firefox profile folder.
- use the "Places Database" -> "Verify Integrity" button on the "Help -> More Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page
If errors are reported with "Verify Integrity", close and restart Firefox or reboot and retry.
If "Verify Integrity" cannot repair places.sqlite, rename/remove all places.sqlite and favicons.sqlite files in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed. Firefox will rebuild places.sqlite and restore the bookmarks from the most recent JSON backup in the bookmarkbackups folder.
- keep a backup copy of places.sqlite in case a new places.sqlite database has to be created
- you lose the history when a new places.sqlite is created
You may have to restore an older bookmarks backup in the bookmarkbackups folder via the Bookmarks Manager (Library).
- Bookmarks -> Manage Bookmarks -> Import & Backup -> Restore

You can use the button on the "Help -> More Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page (Root directory).
