Uninstalled Firefox and can't figure out how to restore my bookmarks

My previous version of Firefox was on the fritz and I was afraid there was malware in it so I uninstalled it. When I reinstalled it I realized all my bookmarks were missing and I can't figure out how to restore them from my profile or a previous backup. Please help! Thank you.
