Beginning with 111 when I start I get 'glxtest: failed to read data from glxtest, we may fall back to software rendering.' It works. I don't know that anything bad is happening.

Chosen solution

It looks like it can't find any supported GPU, so it falls back to the CPU renderer. It works, but slower.

It happened when I started Firefox. No site was involved: my home page is a local page, all text.

Where and what software is doing this? Or what site? There little info for others to verify what site or Addon is causing this.

Windows users like yourself would not encounter this as the OP uses Linux.

That's believable and probably true. Does Firefox make this report or some subsidiary module or driver? If Firefox, an error message that explained it a little more could help. Nothing shows up in Xorg.0.log. I always look at the error message when Firefox starts. I've used it for 25 years. This is the first time I've seen this error.

I don't know much about Linux. If it's something new, you can report it directly to devs on bugzilla.mozilla.org. You can also narrow it down using mozregression.
