
Scanner Issue
I have just got a new printer - Canon TS9565. Before I could scan documents and it would go straight to Thunderbird emails. I have just spent 40 minutes on the phone to Canon to try and work out why Thunderbird is not appearing in the drop down menu for sending direct to email. After we have uninstalled and reinstalled etc, they have said to contact you to see what needs to be done on the Thunderbird side. Please help as I use this function all the time for business.

First thing to check: is the Canon software 32 or 64-bit? If it's 32-bit, TB must also be 32-bit to connect with the software. Open Help/About Thunderbird.
I have had a look and it says 32-64 bit. How do I download 32 bit if that is what I need? My Thunderbird is currently set to 64 bit?
Remove the 64-bit TB, then download the 32-bit installer from here:
https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/all/
User data in the profile folder is unaffected.
