SMTP Service Error
I'm currently running Thunderbird email version 102.6.1 (64-bit). I cannot send mail and am getting the following error message: "Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because connecting to Outgoing server (SMTP) mail.twc.com failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again." I have talked with my service provider to make certain of the connection settings and they referred me to Mozilla support for further assistance. I'm running Linux Mint 21.1 OS. Any assistance would be much apprecaited.
BTW Inbound mail is working perfectly.
Thanks in advance.

Using an VPN, or are not connecting to the internet using the TWC service. They block access to their SMTP server unless you do.
I am connected through Spectrum internet service and I was running a VPN. So i disconnected the VPN and retested....Now getting the following error message: "Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) mail.twc.com was lost in the middle of the transaction. Try again."
Perhaps you could share the settings you are using to connect.
Certainly, for incoming server settings are IMAP, mail server is mail.twc.com ,port 995 security SSL/TLS. outgoing server settings SMTP, mail.twc.com ,port 587 Security STARTTLS.
