Not receiving Outlook emails

Hi Currently can't receive emails on my Outlook-based accounts (sending still works). No error message, just "sending login information" at the bottom continues with no result. This happened a while ago too and I discovered the fix was to use the OAuth2 authentication method. All was good until 2 days ago when same problem occurred. Tried removing the OAuth PW, restarted TB, was asked for PW, then still the same issue.

Using following POP settings: server: outlook.office365.com port: 995 security: SSL/TLS authentication: OAuth2 TB version: 102.6.1 (32-bit)

Any advice much appreciated.

Hi there, this could be the same issue as reported here:

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1400644

Try this workaround:

Use the Thunderbird Config Editor to set the setting network.dns.disableIPv6 to true by clicking the button on the right of this setting line to toggle it to true (the default is false).

Hi Tim

Thanks very much for alerting me to this workaround - it seems to work for now. Strangely it worked again briefly without any changes a couple of days ago, but then stopped again. Hopefully this workaround is a lasting solution.
