Middle click not working at all after updating
Hi,
After an update, Firefox does not recognize middle click at all. It worked in the past, but no longer. For example, middle clicking on... - a hyperlink should open a tab in the background - a bookmark bar item or bookmark menu should open that bookmark in background - empty space on the webpage should initiate autoscroll - a tab handle on the Firefox title bar area should close that tab None of these work as of now.
I'm on Windows 10, and I am using a Logitech MX Master 3 via USB Unifying receiver. I checked Logi Options+ app and confirmed the middle button is correctly set to middle button (default) and there's no per-app settings for Firefox.

Also, I tried Firefox Safe Mode, which temporarily disables all addons and extensions etc. Middle click did not work in safe mode either.
I would say download the latest mouse driver and restart and reinstall the Mouse driver to verify something didn't go wrong with the driver. I have no issue with the Scroll wheel with my Logitech keyboard/mouse configuration. And my middle button is the scroll wheel and doesn't do what your saying you does.
I reinstalled the mouse driver and the problem persists. Scroll wheel (wheel down, wheel up) works fine. And yes, my middle button is the scroll wheel (scroll wheel press) too, and it is supposed to do what I said earlier. It is the standard behavior for all other browsers too, and it worked in Firefox in the past, exactly like that, just two days ago.
However I can now confirm this is fixed in Nightly. When will 109.0 come to standard channel?
Nightly is experimental browser version vs the standard Firefox. That doesn't mean experimental Nightly will work for everyone in standard Firefox release. Maybe that is why it's left out-that requires alot of more work to get to Firefox and support is limited to Firefox and not all mouse has driver for such option and building into Firefox will take more support. Hench Nightly is experiential version of the Browser and some features might not cross over. I rather have a stable version of Firefox without more headroom as most users use the scroll wheel as just that scrolling like I do.
Modified
Using Firefox Developers edition and I have the same problem since the update to 109.0b3 (64-bit). The scroll wheel doesn't work, the mouse button I have mapped to the back button no longer works. If I launch Firefox in troubleshooting mode everything goes back to normal and the mouse performs perfectly in troubleshooting mode. Back in normal mode I have tried disabling all three of my extensions and the problem persists. Sounds like a bug, but I can't find anyway to report it. Any ideas? Thanks
