Hello, I am running version 102.5.0, and when I try to scribe to a specific folder on the server it does not show up under that account. On this one particular account, it will only show the "in" and "Trash" folders. I have deleted this account and added it back into Thunderbird, and only these two folders will show. Is this a glitch of this release?

Thank you JR

When you say "it does not show up under that account" do you mean Subscribe is not an option in the account context menu? Subscribe is only for IMAP accounts, but it looks like you have added the account as POP, which only shows the Inbox and Trash.

Hello,

Sorry, I was not clear. I added a image to help. No matter what folders I subscribe to on my IMAP account, only three folders will show, the "In", "Sent", and the "Trash". When I click the checkbox to subscribe, and I save, nothing else shows, and when I go back into the subscribe section, the checkboxes are unchecked as like if I never checked them.

Thank you, JR

Who is the mail provider? Some, like AOL or Yahoo, have similar issues where the subscribe function doesn't work properly.

Hello, I am using Godaddy that now uses Office365. This only happened after the last update. All folders that I was subscribing to were showing prior to the update. Thank you

I don't know if this is due to a TB update or an O365 glitch. If you add the account to the W10 Mail app, is it possible to show subscribed folders? Keep in mind that O365 accounts in TB now use OAuth2 authentication.

Hello, I appreciate the reply. For some reason it is only happening on one mail account. The other three seem to be fine. I see by a Google search others are having the same issue with the new update, so I am just assuming it is in the update. Maybe on the next update it will be fixed.

Thank you

Please run a check:

Restart Thunderbird in SAfe Mode Menu icon > Help > Troubleshoot Mode

It will ask to Restart - select to 'Continue in Troubleshoot Mode'

Once restarted:

  • Right click on imap office365 account name in Folder Pane and select 'Subscribe'
  • Click on 'Refresh'
  • Select all required folder
  • click on 'Subscribe'
  • click on 'OK

What happens ?

If no joy try this:

  • Right click on imap office365 account name in Folder Pane and select 'Settings'
  • Select 'Server Settings'
  • Click on 'Advanced..' button
  • Uncheck 'show only subscribed folder'
  • Click on 'OK'

Then perform the Subscribe > REfresh > Select folders > Subscribe > OK again What happens?

IF unchecking Uncheck 'show only subscribed folder' got a way to see folders again. access Account Settings > 'Synchronisation & Storage' click on 'Advanced..' button Check all required folders are listed and have checkmarks to download full copies.

Hello, Thank you Toad-hall. We are getting close. The first set of instructions did not work, But the second set of instructions did partially work. I did the (Uncheck 'show only subscribed folder'), and now all the folders show. The strange issue, is in the subscribe dialog box popup, none of the check boxes are checked. At least now they all show. There is some glitch that still does not allow me to choose what to see. But I am okay seeing all of them, and maybe it may be fixed in a update. Just strange just this one account??

Thank you, Jr

Hello, I tried you second set of instructions. Right now all folders show, and ever if I follow the second response of instructions, all folders show, even if I uncheck some folders, it defaults back to all showing.

Thank you

This is not a perfect solution, but at least it will get your folders displaying.

Could you check this: Subscribing to the folders you require. Then check the 'Synchronise & Storage' > 'Advanced' has only the subscribed folders selected.

Then restart Thunderbird.

Check - in the 'Subscribe' list are the previosuly 'subcribed' folders still selected as subscribed ? If yes, then try this to see if we've managed to get some workaround the glitch.

  • Go back into Account Settings
  • Select 'Server Settings'
  • Click on 'Advanced..' button
  • Now select 'show only subscribed folder'
  • Click on 'OK'

What happens ?

If it reverts to being a pain, you know you can Uncheck 'show only subscribed folder' again.

Hello, The only thing that works is to have unchecked (Advanced has only the subscribed folders unselected), and all folders are showing. I am fine with this, as now I can at least the folders I needed. It is so strange this happens on one account. All others works as they are supposed to, and all on the same hosting server?

Thank you for all the help. JR
