I have Thunderbird 102.21, and instead of receiving my email I get an error message telling me to change my authentication method.

I went to Account Settings | Server settings, but I don't know which information to modify on that screen.

The information the screen is asking for includes the port number, Connection security, Authentication method.

I'm still able to send and receive email at my email address for now by going to juno.com.

Thanks for your help.

If this just began to happen with 102.2.1 then please download and install 102.2.0 over the top of current version. There is a known bug being fixed that looks very similar to your situation.

I've tried to download version 102.2.0, but the version number changes to 102.2.1 before I click on download. The places I've tried to download 102.2.0 prefer that I download the most recent Thunderbird version. So how can I get around this so that I'm able to receive my email again?

I downloaded Thunderbird Setup 102.2.0.exe from that website and ran it, but that didn't change anything. I still get an error message telling me to change the authentication method. And when I checked the Thunderbird version at About Thunderbird, it shows that the version is still 102.2.1

I'll attach the image of the screen showing the Thunderbird version (which as far as I can tell hasn't changed.)

Running Thunderbird Setup 102.20.exe didn't solve my problem, and I still get an error message telling me to change my authentication method.

Do you see any other possible solutions?

ver 102.2.2 was just released yesterday and I've seen several posts that it fixed issues similar to yours. That would be my recommendation.
