saving copy error

Lately, every email I send, I get the "Your message was sent but a copy was not placed in your sent folder (Sent mail) due to network or file access errors. You can retry or sve the message locally to Local Folders ...." And then I get the server connection timed out. Help, it's driving me crazy because it is taking too long to send one email.

For gmail accounts, 'Place a copy in' in the Copies & Folders section of Account Settings should be unchecked, as gmail automatically copies sent messages to Sent Mail, which is the folder that should be subscribed (right-click the account in the Folder Pane, Subscribe...).
