Hello,

I am using an addon called 'Provider for Google Calendar' that works seamlessly to sync calendar events in both directions using my Gmail Android app and Thunderbird email client v102 on my desktop. It's great.

I have been reading about addons for doing the same thing for contacts but the 2 addons that I see appear to be for use with older Thunderbird versions. There is gContactSync and Google Contacts so I am wondering if anyone may know of an add on or work around that will allow for the syncing of contacts between Thunderbird v102 and a Gmail account?

Sorry if I missed it but I cannot find anything when searching - perhaps nothing exists yet?

Thanks in advance for any tips,

Mike

You can use the Cardbook plugin. This creates an entirely separate address book that imports your existing TB contacts when creating. The plugin makes it easy to sync with Google. If you try this, make sure you download the proper version. There is a separate version of Cardbook that is compatible with TB 102.x. Just select the older versions tab and find the proper one.

Thunderbird also now supports CalDav links directly. See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1347462#answer-1436000.

Thanks Mark, as always, greatly appreciated.

The CardDAV option appears to be working fine,
