Password for Thunderbird.

Thunderbird is asking me for password ( hasn't done this before). I don't know it/can't remember it and no facility for a reminder or how to set a new password. Haven't received any emails on desktop since 12th. How do I find my password please?

If Thunderbird is requesting a password, it is because it is needed to login to your account. If you do not know it, I suggest you contact your email provider.

What version of TB you are using? Last version is 102. For this version just click on item "Settings" then "Privacy & Security" and there on "saved passwords"

@DJ_Ralf - I think the problem is that he states he has never entered one before, so one would not be stored in TB.

@david: well, I tried to read between the lines. -> "hasn't done this before" suggests me, that it has worked before... Maybe I'm wrong.

@DJ_Ralf - You may well be right. In fact, I think you ARE right. However, whatever TB has, it's the wrong one.

@david - I'm not shure if TB has the wrong one... I've quite a similar problem with 102. Stored PW works only in safe-mode :( see: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1381474#answer-1520153
