I have Thunderbird ver 91.8.0 installed on two computers, laptop and desktop, both running windows 11 and both configured to the same two gmail accounts.

On return from holiday the desktop, which had been performing fine previously, asked for password confirmation via the "One account all of google" window. I enter my email as requested, press enter, the window asks for my email or phone number. I can enter my email or phone number many times, but the window never moves on to ask my password. In desparation i have tried deleting my gmail account from thunderbird, but now i get the same situation trying to re install the gmail account. - Its as if the "One account all of google" window is stuck. I have tried:

- turning evrything off and rebooting - no change
- checking the 0Aouth2 authorisation - it was set correctly
- deleting the gmail account and reinstalling - same thing happens (see above)
- turning off my firewall (McAffee) - no change

I can access my gmail account via the web, and on my phone, my laptop initially asked for the same authorisation when I switched it on, but i was able to enter my email and then my google password and it is working correctly.

Please note that I am a reasonably competent amateur user, so please be kind when spelling out potential solutions! Thank you.
