Thunderbird exe file gone

Had a Thunderbird update today. I think my SECURITY software thought it was malware and now my Thunderbird won't load at all. I looked in the Mozilla Thunderbird file folder and there is nothing with an exe extension. Should I re-download Thunderbird? Will I lose my years of emails that are stored in the one I had? Hope someone can help!!!!

Chosen solution

download from thunderbird.net and reinstall and all should be good. No guarantees, after all if you have rogue security software anything is possible.
