Changed local folder location, lost everything

Hello everyone. I just changed the local folder location (my hd is quite small i changed the another hd which is bigger) and once restarted thunderbird everything is gone. All my emails, all my filters, all my folders... How can i have them back? thanks

Actually i haven't moved the profile folder but in the server settings i changed the local directory path under message storage. I solved (in case anyone needs that) by changing back the link to my *profile name*>mail>*server name* folder. But thank you, i used your message to proper move the whole profile to a new location

I infer you moved the profile folder. Right-click on desktop shortcut, add -p at end of target line so it appears as "C:\\program files\thunderbird.exe" -p and close shortcut. Start TB and menu will appear to select profile. Click 'create profile' and browse to where you moved the profile folder and select it and give a name, such as MYPROFILE' and continue to start TB. Once all is okay, remove the -p from shortcut.
