When Thunderbird starts, it is no longer checks for messages at startup. In all accounts is checked "Check for new messages at startup" I have to initiate manual to check for messages.

Chosen Solution

Try this: Help/Troubleshooting, Profile Folder, Open Folder, close TB, delete or rename session.json, then see if TB checks at startup.

Is your default mail account shown as local folders?

Not a local folder, it is hansroos@wxs.nl IMAP FYI. I think it changed after one of the last updates.
