Data loss after update

I installed the last update, my bookmarks kept being here but all my add-on, website shortcuts and firefox settings got removed. I checked the profiles to see if it was just another profile that was created but after checking each profile that was available they were all with the defaults settings without shortcuts and without add-on. I cannot recall all the add-on and websites saved so it is very important for me to recover them. What can I do?

Hey there!

Please see the following websites on how you can recover them:

Recover bookmarks - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recover-lost-or-missing-bookmarks

Recover missing user data - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recover-user-data-missing-after-firefox-update

Restore previous session - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/restore-previous-session

Hope I helped!

Kind regards,

Bithiah

Unfortunately, it doesn't help. On my settings there was no loss of bookmark. The "recover-user-data-missing-after-firefox-update" mention checking old profile but it seems my profile got overwritted after the update. The last link is for restoring session but I always have my history cleared on firefox closure which mean I don't need to restore any session as it cannot be saved. My issue concern add-on, website shortcut and old setting such as history settings etc. etc. I want to add that everything seems to be overwritten as there is no older profile or no older file when I check.
