Thunderbird laggy with 100 k+ mails
Hi,
My thunderbird is becoming un-usable since months.
I thought that a brand new rebuild of my profile with a installation from scratch would help solve the problem, but it has been efficient for one hour only.
As soon as thunderbird get's connected, Thunderbird gets laggy and freeze. Waiting 10 mins or more will help him getting back, but each time a new mail is received it's frozen again.
Can you guide me through a troubleshooting process? I saw that we can log performance inside thunderbird. I'd like to spot what specific configuration or email account or directory is causing the performance issue.
Thanks for your help

First thing to try is run Windows in safe mode to identify any startup apps affecting TB:

Hi,
Thank you for the link provided that I wasn't able to find elsewhere.
I'll follow the different procedures indicated this week-end as it's not easy to do this during business time.
Hi, After letting one day full for thunderbird to download all headers locally, the software is now working properly. So building a brand new profile was the solution + one day of work of thunderbird was the solution.
I thank you for your help anyway!
