Configuring Verizon e-mail to work with new AOL protocols - Follow Up Issue
I posted a question and got one answer that does not help.
Verizon.net is now handled by AOL. In 4 days Thunderbird will not support it unless I comply with the new AOL security settings. I am having trouble doing that unless I delete the Verizon.net account and re-install it thereby losing all my Sent messages. That will be painful. AOL did give me an App Generated Password to use but I cannot find the place in Thunderbird to add it.
The one answer* said if my incoming and outgoing servers are imap.aol.com and smtp.aol.com it would be easy. The server settings are: pop.verizon.net and smtp.verizon.net
Any other suggestions?????
- Thank you SFH
Chosen solution
Options/Privacy & Security/Passwords/Saved Passwords, remove the passwords for the Verizon account, for incoming and outgoing, restart TB, enter the app password when prompted for a password, check the box to have it stored in Saved Passwords.

Not sure my first response was recorded. Thank you SFH. Problem solved, and I learned a lot in the process.
