Return address has apparently been set and I can't get rid of it.

I am using Thunderbird for a number of accounts. They each have their own SMTP server for outbound. I have a gmail account and when I try to send a message it has another of my addresses on the from line to the right of the address of the account. It must be a return address different.

This happens if I click send mail and then pick the proper personality to send from, and in the dropdown list it is wrong. If I click send mail in the account it works OK.

I have searched and tried to change it to the one for the account, but I just don't see it anywhere on the account to change. What am I missing here?

You probably set up multiple identities for your account. Check each identity for the correct settings.
