Address book did not transfer from Yahoo like the rest of the email files
I'm trying to switch from Yahoo to Thunderbird and all of my emails and folders transferred just fine except my address book. I followed the steps I found on Google but when I get to a certain point the steps don't show up that I am suppose to take. I am a real novice when it comes to working with computers so that is probably the main problem.

Your address book is not an email, so of course it did not "transfer"

To import into Thunderbird you would use the import menu item on the tools menu of the address book.
I realize the address book is not an email. Neither are all of the email settings required to get TB on line on my computer. I would say that the address book is a very important part of an email client. I tried all of the yahoo exporting instructions and the limited TB instructions and can't make it work. Thanks anyway
Install TbSync and Provider for CalDAV and CardDAV, and add a Yahoo account to sync the Yahoo calendar and contacts.

After the 2 add-ons are installed, click TbSync in the Status Bar or under Tools on the Menu Bar to add the account.
