Invisible text on TB using 78.10.0
Since upgrading TB to 78.10 on Win7 Home Premium, alternate folders and message texts become invisible when selected. The folder or message can be made visible again by clicking on the one above or below it. If a tag is applied to a message it changes to permanently visible. If a message is deleted, the one moving up into its place will change visibility properties to those of the deleted message. I have reverted back to 78.8.0, which acts normally

Are you using a non-default them, especially the Dark one? It has not reached a stable state in the 78 branch, and this would explain why there's no problem in safe mode, which applies the default theme. There could also be an effect due to the W7 theme, which has happened before, e.g. with the Classic Theme. Try an Aero theme.

Is hardware acceleration enabled in Options/General/Indexing? If it is, disable it, restart TB, and see if there's a difference. Otherwise, try safe mode (hold Shift when launching TB) to test for other causes.
Hardware acceleration was/ is not enabled. Starting in Safe Mode makes all folder/ message subject lines visible
This disappearing text problem was introduced with the upgrade from 78.8 to 78.10, no settings were changed, so I have reverted back to 78.8, which solves the problem, and disabled the automatic update.
If you launch in safe mode and check 'Reset toolbars & controls', 'Make changes & restart', that should fix the problem.
Started in Safe Mode, checked 'Reset toolbars & controls', 'Make changes & restart', and the alternate vanishing text problem persists in 78.10. Reverted back to 78.8.
If I have two adjacent folders, let's say that the lower folder displays the vanishing title text effect. I then open the upper folder to show its sub-folders, which happen to be an odd number. The original lower folder, because it is now an even number of places down the tree, when selected, displays its title text. That is, until I close the upper folder, now putting the lower folder an odd number of places down, so if it is selected, its text title vanishes - until I click on the upper folder, when the lower folder title text re-appears.
The message subject text is similar, inasmuch as clicking on a subject next to the vanished text will restore it to visible.
Because this starts whenever I allow a background 78.10 install, I'm continuing with 78.8 and auto-update disabled
Here's some more info, yes it is 64 bit TB on a 64 bit machine, today I gave 78.9.1 a spin, works perfectly of course.
But as soon as TB does a background install to 78.10 the alternate invisibility effect is back in play.
So 78.9.1 is now my current go-to, with auto/ background upgrade to 78.10 unchecked.

Right, I had the 'Two little birds' theme enabled. The other installed themes, light, dark etc don't cause the effect, so now I can hunt down an add-on theme that is compatible with 78.10, which is what I'm using now. Thanks for the help.
It must be a W7 issue, as I have the same 2 birds theme on W10/78.10 and it has worked fine for all 78.x.
