Hello, since the last updates not sure which, I lost the functionality of the Quick search at Toolbar although if I call Ctrl+Shift+F it still works (but its more cumbersome to use).

I Have rebuilt Global Database following suggestion from the Forum but did not solve the issue.
Have used also Repair Folder, and compact folder, but also with no success.
I'm using Portuguese UI, in dark mode, Thunderbird Version 78.8.1 64 bits.
Have tested just now on a different PC, with Portuguese UI, Standard Mode, but Thunderbird 78.8.1 32 Bits(it was before at 78.7.1) and there it's working OK.

Chosen solution

Create a new profile from Help/Troubleshooting, about:profiles, add an account, and see if the Quick Filter Bar works. If it does, add the other accounts and copy data such as local mail and address books from the old profile. While this may seem like a difficult process, it's probably faster and more effective than trying to debug the existing profile.

The Quick Filter Bar can be enabled from the 3-bar menu icon, Customize, or Ctrl+Shift+K.

Hello again , Now in 78.9.0 (64-bit) after updating and after uninstalling / Re-installing.

I Know how to enable/disable the Quick Filter Bar, that is not the issue.

Problem remains.

If I turn off the quick filter bar is does not disappear (or reappear) until I close and restart the program.

Anything I type into the box on the quick filter bar does not produce any result.

Only when I call it via CTRL + SHIFT + K does it work but this way does not rapidly filter the folder I'm in.

Rebuilding folder does not work

Rebuilding Global Database does not work.

What else can I do ?

Thanks for trying to help.

Nope ....it's still the same.

I Ran the setup US English just to be sure it would not be tied to the language, and it isn't, in US English same problem.
On other systems I own it works fine (all of them with win 10 20H2). But in this system, in the Quick filter bar it doesn't work, but it used to. Some strange thing happened.

When I click on help there is no selection labeled "Troubleshooting", just "Troubleshooting information". When I click on "Troubleshooting information", i get pages and pages of info but no "about:profiles:

Aha!

I must have gotten inspiration from posting here! I don't know how it happened but the 4 filters, sender recipients, subject & body, we de-selected. No wonder why!

Thanks for the inspiration.
