I just switched to Firefox for the privacy benefits, but I'm seeing some unexpected security-related behavior that has me slightly concerned. Within Firefox (it could be the first time since powering up my machine), I am automatically logged in to some sites when I first visit them. I don't know why this is happening. Nothing is saved in Lockwise, and all options under "Logins and Passwords" are unchecked (including save and fill passwords). I don't have any syncing. I experience the same behavior if I boot in safe mode. I have LastPass, but this behavior happens even if I'm not logged in to that.

The strangest thing is... I am also automatically logged in to my email website even though it has multi-factor authentication enabled. The auto-login doesn't send any notifications to my authentication device.

Is there some magical setting that I am somehow missing? Thanks so much for any insight!

I solved this. I cleared site data and checked the box to "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed". I still think it's strange that I was not asked for a MFA code, but that does not seem like a Firefox issue!
