Different sites via https or http

In rare cases, some sites, depending on https or http, return different content. For example http://vx.zedz.net/ and https://vx.zedz.net/ or http://1whois.ru/ and https://1whois.ru/. Such sites are quite rare, but I have come across them many times, not only with the ones mentioned above, I cannot give more examples since I no longer remember the address. There is an option "HTTPS only mode" in the settings. If the user has a value for "Enable HTTPS only mode in all windows" or "Enable HTTPS only mode in private windows only", such sites may return different content than the user wanted. This will prevent the user from knowing that the content depends on https and http. In this case, as a user, I can suggest in the "HTTPS Only" mode to warn that the content of the site may depend on https and http or check (if possible) or warn when navigating to such sites.

Clearing the browser doesn't help. It all depends only on the sites themselves. Other browsers have this as well. Reporting this is not a complaint about a problem. This is a suggestion to improve the browser experience.

Both certificates have a domain mismatch. You can see this if you click the blue Advanced button on the error page to expand the error message.

Websites prove their identity via certificates. Firefox does not trust this site because it uses a certificate that is not valid for vx.zedz.net. The certificate is only valid for the following names: hacktic.nl, www.hacktic.nl

You do not understand the essence of the problem! In the screenshots, I am checking the issue in both Google Chrome and Firefox. Pay attention to the address. The domain does not change, only https or http changes, while the web page looks different - different content. In order to take a screenshot of a web page via http in Firefox, I had to disable the "HTTPS Only" mode. If this can happen with some other sites, then with the "HTTPS Only" mode enabled, the user will not be able to switch to http, and therefore, he will not know that the site can work through http and its contents are different. In the case of the site http://vx.zedz.net/, I myself did not know that it can connect via https and its content changes. If I had turned on the "HTTPS Only" mode in the Firefox browser, I would never have known that the site can work over http and its content changes. This can happen to other sites and users, so you need to warn about this.

I have already answered here. Don't forget with new message notifications.

Perhaps I am misunderstanding something, but I would like to understand exactly if this is an error or so it may be.

I would assume that this is about how the website is 'configurated' and that they only redirect if you access via https:// I've only seem opposite reports where a secure connection fails (empty page or error message) and only http:// works.

If I understood you correctly, this work of sites is not correct? Are these sites misconfigured and shouldn't work over https? The correct site content is only opened via http?

You have forgotten about new message notification again. I would like to complete this problem.

This problem is not unique to me. For example, when saving web pages to an archive, there is a difference between the content of the page: https://archive.md/O2rh8 and https://archive.md/1Q6uO or https://archive.md/Mt8VF and https: // archive .md / ZiN8l Via anonymizer: http://oz4a.pjswi6ronzsxi.cmle.ru/ and http://0s.oz4a.pjswi6ronzsxi.cmle.ru/ or http://gf3wq33jomxhe5i.cmle.ru/ and http: //0s.gf3wq33jomxhe5i. cmle.ru/ Screenshot of the web page: https://www.s-shot.ru/?url=http://vx.zedz.net/ and https://www.s-shot.ru/?url=https:// vx.zedz.net/ or https://www.s-shot.ru/?url=http://1whois.ru/ and https://www.s-shot.ru/?url=https:// 1whois.ru/
