One of my gmail accounts keeps downloading emails even though I have "download every () mins" "download at startup", "download new messages automatically" & "download old messages" un checked

I don't want this happening its via IMAP I want to download ONLY when I choose too

once you connect Google will notify of new mail. Disabling allow immediate server notifications when new messages arrive should take care of that.
