I believe that this started when Thunderbird updated to version 78.7.1. Emails that are in my Trash folder are deleted after 3 days. Today is 2/25 and all emails in Trash prior to 2/22 have been deleted. I noticed this when I had to retrieve a message that had been sent to Trash. I have confirmed that my settings are set to "do not delete any messages". Any suggestions? Thank you Mike

If the 'TRash' folder is in an imap mail account, then you need to be aware that the Server maybe auto emptying the Trash. eg: gmail auto empty every 30 days, yahoo empty every 10 days, spectrum auto empty every 3 days

when your Trash synchronises with server it will only display what is on server.
