How do I answer the replies to my help questions?

I have an open question going and for the life of me, I can't figure out how to answer the replies I've received! I figured it out once but now I don't see how. I apologize, I must just be completely brain-dead from trying to sort out this mess.

Is there a way to reply to a particular contributor if I've received help from more than 1 person

Not directly, but you could tell to whom you're responding to by adding e.g. like @<insert_contributor_name> to your response.

Thank you. Is there a way to reply to a particular contributor if I've received help from more than 1 person or does it matter?
