i have New dell laptop , i have finally installed thunderbird and recieved emails but i have nothing in the address book plus there is a folder missing . how do i retrieve all my contacts and bring a personal folder to my new laptop regards rolly

perhaps you should have asked that before you set up a new profile.

i got to C Drive pasted thunderbird folder in it From your Thunderbird profile folder, go up three levels. i dont what means . right-click on your backup Thunderbird folder, and select Copy. i did this but no Backup came up. Lost now . would it be easier to ring me 0420939645 australia

Thunderbird = TB. it appears your problem is also related to ADDRESS-BOOK (in TB) is similar to the problem posted HERE. i have posted a solution there , please see if its useful/applicable or solves or helps to solve your problems.
