My father updated to the new version on Nov.14th. Now he is missing all his local folders, where he stored all his mails. I checked some support ideas from the web ( profiles-mail folder content; all folders shown? etc), nothing helpful there so far. The folders are gone.

Any idea, what I can do? If the folders are permanently gone is there any chance, that the mails can be restored somehow?

Would be great if you can share your ideas with me.

Thanks in advance.

Problem solved! I checked the profile of my fathers TB according to your instructions, but there were only 5-6 files in the folder. Then I recognized that there were other profile folders under the general profile folder. There I found all the missing files under local folders. I then simply copied them into the new profile folder and voila, everything is back now and Dad is happy. Seems like TB created the new profile with the update but did not transfer the old data.

Anyways, thanks for your support, it was a great help!

Help/Troubleshooting, Profile Folder, Open Folder, close TB, open Mail/Local Folders. Do you see large files with no extension, named after the missing folders? Look also in sbd folders. If you see the files, delete the .msf files that have the same names as the large files, then restart TB and report if the folders appear under Local Folders in the Folder Pane.
