When I close Thunderbird tabs, Thunderbird does not remember and reopens them on next restart.

When I close Thunderbird, it used to remember which tabs were left open and which were closed so that it didn't reopen them next time. But, now keeps opening the tabs I've closed. I'm afraid now to open any tabs. Please advise the solution to this problem. This problem has now become chronic for months now.

Help/Troubleshooting, Profile Folder, Open Folder, close TB, delete or rename session.json. Open and close TB a few times and see if it opens with the tabs that were open at last closing.

Found Profile Folder. Opened Profile Folder, renamed session, json. Opened TB and the tabs were gone. Opened a new tab and closed TB. When I reopened TB the new tab was there. Deleted the new tab and closed TB. When I reopened TB the new tab was gone. Problem fixed. I see that TB created a new session.json. So, I deleted the session.json that I renamed. Problem fixed. Thank you so much. Much appreciated. Thank you.
