Hi guys,

Long time user of Thunderbird never had any problems. The lastest version of Thunderbird 78.4.0 auto-installed on my system and I have been having problems downloading new emails. I contacted my internet provider who provided the solution. When setting up SSL I need to change this to "None" for both Incoming & Outgoing mail, once this is changed my emails then download.

I feel this is insecure. Has anyone else had the same problem? Any fixes/solutions?

Thanks in advance

A slightly more secure option is to change the allowed TLS version in TB:

The 'solution' offered by your ISP is a weak workaround; they should update their TLS to a version that's been available for years.
