Firefox is 'currently unavailable' in the app store as is the Google play store so I cant install Google play to get Frefox from there. I can download the APK file for Android but have no idea which one or what to do with it? (or even if it would work on a Kindle Fire 7 running Android 9.???) I have no idea what an Echo is but couldn't post question without selecting something

Unfortunately at present, Firefox for Android is unavailable in the Amazon app store for Kindle Fire devices.
