
Need Help moving a 78.3.2 Profile on Windows 10 Pro
I have tried several times to ... using the USB drive backup of my T'bird profiles (78.3.2 Win 10 Pro) try to make my MS Surface Pro (Win 10 Pro) with 78.3.2 use the USB backup as source so that when I travel ... I have my 78GB of emails accessible
Each time I do thunderbird.exe -p ... I create my profile (using the same name) ... choose directory
I:\BACKUPS\<MACHINE NAME>\AppData\THUNDERBIRD\nnb7im98.<PROFILE NAME>
Then click DONE ... it opens the profile and shows the folders ... but seems to clear the contents of all of my folders ...
How do I know?
1) I try to access emails there 2) I close and dismount the USB drive ... then go back to my desktop and resync ... and about 76gb is missing
If I leave it long enough ... it will come up to the Account Creation page ... and ask me for my email address and password ... like it is totally ignoring the existing account / profile
