I am using the latest version of Thunderbird [= 78.3.1]. On the internet there are lots of ways suggested to turn off line wrapping, but none of the suggestions work for the latest version of Thunderbird. How does one turn off line wrapping?

Chosen solution

If you mean to disable wrapping of plain text messages at 72 in the Write window, set mailnews.wraplength to 0 (zero) in Options/General/Config. editor, to have the text wrap to the window width.

Thanks for the suggestion, but in Thunderbird 78.3.1 your suggestion does not work. There is no "Options" that can be clicked. Or if there is, I do not know how to get to "Options".

Wait, I found it. There was a piece of what you said that was helpful. Thanks.

Thunderbird 78 → Edit → Preferences → (Scroll down) → Config Editor... → mailnews.wraplength → 0
