I just updated FF on my Android and I really wish I hadn't. Now I have no adblockplus for sites that use ad servers that are dangerous, that have popups that are hard to get around. I need popups on some sites, with adblockplus you don't have to worry. It just stops the ads and not the popups that make the site functional.

Now, I can't place shortcuts on my phone's decktop. I have to put them in collections, where every site I go to can read them. Even though I have all history set to be cleared when I close the browser, they don't. Open the browser again and all the history, cookies and everything else is still there....until you manually go into history and clear it.

So basically Mozilla has made it so I can't use my phone's browser for much at all. Good job Mozilla?

Hi Edward!

There was recently a huge change to the Firefox app on Android, so it might be a little different. I see that you appear to have a few issues, so I'll try to address them all.

Currently, there are only a handful of add-ons available for the Android version of Firefox. The full collection will be coming again in the future (although I'm not sure of the set date). However, uBlock Origin is currently one of the add-ons that's fully supported on the app and it's a viable alternative to Ad Block Plus.

As for putting websites on your phone's home screen, that process should be really easy in the new version. When you are on a website that you want to add to your home screen, you can press the Firefox menu button from the Firefox toolbar and select Add to Home Screen. This should bring you through the process of adding the website to the home screen.

Finally, I assume you have the Delete browsing data on quit option enabled in the Firefox settings. In order for that feature to work, you need to make sure to select the Quit option from the Firefox menu to close Firefox.

Hope this helps.

What I'm finding is sometimes there is "add to home screen", but most the time that option isn't on the menu....at all.

I'm not sure about"on quit". I have it set to delete all data. I don't remember if it said quit or when closing, but I set it to delete all data, except for passwords.
