78.2.2 - Blank white bar across top of screen in Thunderbird (only)

I have been using Thunderbird for a very long time, and never had an issue before today. For some reason, there is just a white bar/banner across the top 2-3 inches of the Thunderbird screen. I can see that I have new messages, I can open them, but I can't read them. I cannot resize the window as the control is blocked by this banner. I cannot close an individual email (can't click on the X in the corner). I just uninstalled and reinstalled Thunderbird. I still have the same issue. I do NOT have this issue with any other program. Pressing F11 does not fix the problem. It just makes the banner slightly larger. I can only close Thunderbird by Ctrl-Alt-Del or right clicking the icon on the toolbar. Pressing Escape does not close the open message. I attached a screen shot of the top left of my Thunderbird window. Any suggestions? Thanks!

So, I am not sure what the boy did, but a reboot fixed the problem. Should have known to try that first.
