I can't install thunderbird

After I download the file and try to run the install it says my computer must be restarted to complete a previous uninstall. Restarting does nothing. I cannot find any files associated with thunderbird on my computer. What am i supposed to do?

Chosen solution

Go to C:\Program Files (x86) and C:\Program Files. Look for the folder named Mozilla Thunderbird and delete it from both locations. Reboot then try again.
