For many years I have used Thunderbird - mainly in the various Mint distro series and my current distro is Mint 19.3 [with plans to upgrade to Mint 20]

Currently I'm haveing problems trying to update my 'profile' in as much as the "new" 'profile' does not include any folders/information/emails in the LOCAL FOLDER section i.e.its empty except for two folders Deleted and Outbox.

Can you please advise where in the current Tbird 68.10.0 I can find what were the previous IMAP Folder and the MAIL folder.

In anticipation Many thanks

Brian King

Help/Troubleshooting, click about:profiles, to see the locations of the current profile and any others. Close TB, open the old profile, then the Mail\Local Folders subfolder. Copy the mbox files - the large ones with no extension, named after folders - to the Mail\Local Folders location of the new profile. When TB restarts, you should see the folders under Local Folders in the Folder Pane.

The old IMAP folders will be in the ImapMail\<imapservername> subfolder. The mbox files in that location can also be copied to Mail\Local Folders.
