Good day, if I move to another country and close my existing mail account, will the history of that account still be accessable in Thuderbird? I am moving from Germany to Spain, thus my German email account will be closed and I will open a new account with a Spanish provider. I do, however, need access to my full archive.

In similar circumstances, to be on the safe side, I created local folders and subfolders in Thunderbird matching the tree structure of my IMAP accounts and copied all messages across. This way these messages are stored locally and can't be deleted unless I delete them explicitly. This means you need to keep your own backups though.
