When I try to create a subfolder nothing happens after I'm done initiating the request.

Also my little "thinking" circle in the upper left is circling non stop now. It seems that all other functions are OK. Could this be because of the recent update?

Thanks in advance

No, not the recent update. Folders are getting created just fine here. Is this an IMAP or POP account? Are you creating the folder under the Local Folders account? If Tbird seems endlessly busy, go to Tools > Activity Manager. Do you see it doing something there? Which antivirus program are you using and which add-ons are installed on Tbird?

After I tried a second reboot in 2 days, it crashed and then now it seems fine. POP account, sub folder of the inbox. TBird decided to take a thinking break too. Not using any add ons. using Avast internet security. Thanks for the quick reply, appreciated. We'll see where it goes. It did encourage me to take the time to delete hundreds of old emails and empty the trash. It was getting a bit ripe.
