C&P DOES NOT COPY LINKS/URLs THAT WORK

G'day to all

I LOVE T-Bird, but for 1, problem:

When I C&P from JUNO email into WordPad, all links are colored blue and are functional, i.e., click and FF takes you to that website.

When I C&P FROM Thunderbird TO WordPad, TEXT copies but links are simply text. Without the ability to C&P from emails and save this info, T-bird is useless.

WHAT am I doing wrong and/or stupid and/or missing???

Stay healthy, even if u cant hug ur FLAC and grandkids

Chosen solution

I copied links from TB to Wordpad on W10 1909, either by right-clicking the link, Copy Link Location, or selecting the text, Ctrl+C, then Ctrl+V, or dragging the link from TB and dropping it in Wordpad. All resulted in blue text in Wordpad and a clickable link. There are cases where links are not clickable in TB, due to incorrect formatting, or by deliberate html coding, but if your links are clickable in TB, I can't say why they aren't when copied to Wordpad.
